Targets from previous season:
1 – Achieve a top 9 finish at a tour - PASSED
2 – Beat previous season points total (461) - PASSED
3 – Go through the whole season as 1st ranked Brazilian team - FAILED (but we started and ended the season as number 1)
Another strong year for Time Indaiatuba as we again surpassed our previous season's points total. It was a year of consistency, as we started off by scoring our first ever points in Division 4 and managed to stay there for the whole year, only briefly dropping down to Division 5 for a few weeks (and even making it to Division 3 for a couple of days).
Although we didn't get any wins, we've reached a level where we can consistently score in Division 4, so the goal for the new season will be to kick on and start winning some races.
There weren't many personnel changes this year. Hill sprinting captain Mark Turnbow was brought in on day 1 and made an immediate impact, but other than that, only small changes were made to strengthen the team.
Ageing tour rider Dean Van Der Meer was brought in for the latter half of the season and secured Indaiatuba's first tour podium by finishing 2nd at the Race of the Minutemen. It was decided, however, that due to his age he should move on.
Two of our riders made their World Tour debuts this season. Rubert Smidt helping out for Denmark, and Hipólito Sartorelli for Brazil, taking 2nd place in his first race.
With progress slowing down, the team is hoping to strengthen bit by bit, hopefully winning some races this season, and building a solid platform for future success.
